Last week Trump finally (kind of) admitted he lost and claims to be planning on leaving the White House in an orderly fashion on the 20th of January. But before that he still has 9 days left to do whatever he wants with the power of the White House. Trump is reportedly writing a large list of people he wants to pardon before he leaves. This list includes several senior White House officials, family members and rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.
Lil Wayne recently pleaded guilty to possession of a loaded firearm in Miami two years ago. For this he might end up in federal prison for up to 10 years. But last October Lil Wayne publicly endorsed Trump, even posing for a photo with the orange leader at the White House. This action infuriated a significant portion of his fan base. In retrospect, he might have been doing this in the hopes of securing a pardon in the future.
Kodak Black is already in prison, halfway into a 46-month sentence for falsifying paperwork to obtain a firearm. Kodak Black hasn't publicly supported Trump like Lil Wayne did. Instead he just straight up tweeted him asking for a pardon, offering to donate $1 million to charity if he got one. Other celebrities, like Lil Yachty, also tweeted at Trump asking for Kodak Black to be released.
The list of potential pardons also contain names like Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and senior adviser Stephen Miller, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner. According to Bloomberg news, the list is “currently being vetted by senior advisers and the White House counsel’s office”.
