Due to the current pandemic and following lack of concerts and other events, many people in the music business are struggling. But some in the industry are doing absolutely fine, like Iggy Pop’s cockatoo Biggy Pop! He has never been more popular then now and Gucci even decided to give him a role in their new Gucci Tailoring campaign.
Biggy Pop stars alongside Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, his dad Iggy Pop and another unnamed blue parrot in Gucci’s new tailoring campaign. The birds are definitely the stars of the show, flying around in cool slow-mo shots, working hard at their desk and eating pasta like a refined bird should.
When Iggy Pop got asked about who he got Biggy, he said:
“About twelve years ago, a roadside vendor in a remote part of Florida stuffed Biggy, who was very young, into a tiny cafe alongside some chickens, by the side of the road. He seemed to be in peril of a bad future. So we decided to take care of him, responsibly. And we have. He gets, and gives, a lot of love”.
Biggy currently has 90.000 followers on Instagram, but with this new role and him recently becoming the founding patron of the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital in Australia, these numbers will probably shoot through the roof in the coming days.
