Rapper Logic has called out his record label Def Jam Recordings on Instagram over alleged unpaid fees to his collaborators like producer Kevin Randolp, 6ix, Lil Keke, and DJ Rhetorik. He also commented on the feud between Kayne and his record label Universal Music Group.
Logic, who recently announced he is retiring from making albums to focus on being a dad, called out his record label Def Jam Recordings on Instagram by sharing a screenshot of a text message conversation between himself and producer Kevin Randolph. Randolph claims he hasn't "seen a penny" from the work he did on Logic albums. In the caption Logic goes into detail about a number of his friends who haven't been paid by Def Jam Recording and explains he is scared other musicians haven't been paid either, but just never contacted him about it.
Logic also responded to Kayne West sharing his record deals on twitter, claiming Def Jam (which is owned by the Universal Music Group) hasn't paid Lil Wayne for his verse on a remix of Logic’s track Perfect, which is the reason for it never being released. Logic posted on Twitter:
“I feel you, Def Jam ain’t tryin a pay @LilTunechi his fee so I guess the perfect remix aint coming out…. owe a few of my folks they money honestly.”
So far Def Jam Recordings hasn't responded to the criticism by Logic.
