Hip-Hop duo Run the Jewels teamed up with Adult Swim and Ben & Jerry’s to organise “Holy Calamavote”, an online concert with the hopes of inspiring people to vote during the US presidential election in November. The event was hosted by Eric Andre and has guest appearances by Pharrell, 2 Chainz, Gangsta Boo, Greg Nice, DJ Cutmaster Swiff, Cochemea Gastelum, Mavis Staples, Zack de la Rocha and Josh Homme.

Run the Jewels are known for their politically charged lyrics and social activism. Killer Mike even received the first ever Billboard Changemaker Award last Wednesday during the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. Michael Ouweleen, the president of Adult Swim told Billboard magazine that:

"Adult Swim is honoured to be a part of this cultural moment and to partner with Run The Jewels and Ben & Jerry's to present the first performance of the acclaimed RTJ4 album. We hope this special event encourages our fans to make a plan and exercise their Constitutional right to vote."

The show was broadcast-ed live on Adult Swim Saturday night and part of it are available on YouTube. During the show viewers were repeatedly urged to register to vote and asked to donate to the ACLU. So far more than 7.000 dollars have been collected for the ACLU. You can check out a part the show down here;
